7 Years of training , Growth & building bree’s training co.

September 16, 2019.

Seven years ago, I took a chance on myself and officially started my business.

Today, I’m celebrating 7 years of Bree’s Training Co.

Well… it wasn’t always called Bree’s Training Co. But every version of this business has played a part in getting me here.

How It Started

My journey into dog training started long before I ever had a business.

After years of working with animals and gaining experience in different areas of pet care, I realized how much I enjoyed helping people understand their dogs.

It started with helping friends, answering questions, working with dogs and sharing what I knew. Eventually, I realized there was a real need for practical training and guidance for dog owners who simply wanted help navigating life with their dogs.

So on September 16, 2019, I officially started my business.

I didn’t have everything figured out.

I didn’t have a perfect business plan.

I certainly didn’t know exactly where this journey would take me.

I just knew I wanted to help dogs and their people.

And seven years later, here we are.

Seven Years of Learning

Over the years, I’ve worked with puppies, adult dogs, first-time dog owners, experienced dog owners and dogs with all kinds of personalities and challenges.

I’ve helped with everything from basic obedience and leash manners to recall, crate training, boundaries, place work and behavior concerns.

But the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that dog training isn’t just about teaching a dog commands.

It’s about teaching people, too.

Every dog is different.

Every household is different.

And every owner has different goals, challenges and lifestyles.

That means good training requires listening, adapting and finding what works for the individual dog and their person.

From Black Dawg Bark to Bree’s Training Co.

For several years, my business operated under the name Black Dawg Bark.

That chapter will always be part of my story.

But as I grew as a trainer and business owner, I realized that the brand needed to grow with me.

In 2026, I officially rebranded as Bree’s Training Co.

The new name feels personal because it is personal.

This business has grown alongside me, and I wanted the brand to reflect the woman, trainer and business owner I am today.

The rebrand wasn’t just about changing a name or getting a new logo.

It was about recognizing how far I had come — and giving myself permission to build the next chapter on my own terms.

More Than Dog Training

Seven years in, I’ve realized that my job isn’t simply to train dogs.

It’s to help owners understand them.

It’s to help people communicate more clearly with their dogs.

It’s to help families create structure and consistency.

And sometimes, it’s simply to give an owner the confidence to say, “Okay, I know what to do now.”

That part of the work means just as much to me as teaching a dog a new skill.

What’s Next?

I’m nowhere near finished.

There are still so many things I want to build with Bree’s Training Co.

More training programs.

More educational resources.

More opportunities for dog owners to learn and connect.

More community involvement.

And eventually, a physical space where dogs and their people can train, learn and grow together.

I have big goals for this business, and I’m excited to see where the next chapter takes me.

Thank You for 7 Years

To every client who has trusted me with their dog…

To every person who has referred someone to me…

To everyone who has booked a session, attended a class, shared a post, left a review or simply told someone about my business…

Thank you.

You have helped build this business.

Seven years ago, I had an idea.

Today, I have a business, a brand, a community and a vision for something much bigger.

And the crazy part?

I’m just getting started.

Happy 7th Anniversary to Bree’s Training Co.

Here’s to seven years of training, learning, growing and helping dogs and their people build better lives together.
